RISD Fleet Library

When RISD purchased the low-rise portion of the Hospital Trust Tower it was to serve two purposes. The first was to convert the upper floors into dorms for the students. The second was to create a new space for their Library. Fleet Bank generously donated a large portion of the proceeds to build out this new space for the University. This is more than just a Library. It is a hybrid between a Museum and a Library. The turn of the century craftsmanship of all the finish details cannot be replicated. New England Sun Control installed a dual reflective window film to help cut down on excessive heat, glare and to preserve the collections that are kept onsite.
